You can add your own header via the layout section in blogger. Don't worry the images in the test post wont show up - that's just to give an idea of how the template looks!
It completely free to download!!

MAC Ripe For Love Blush: Temperature Rising

Ripe for love is a new limited edition blush from the temperature rising collection. I think the summer collection this year seems to have gone under the radar so far, probably because MAC decided to launch several collections on the same day. Ripe for love was a bit of a random purchase - I was going to buy a blush from the in extra dimension collection but as I love satin formulas and don't own many peach blushes, I plumped for this one.
The temperature rising collection has bronze coloured packaging - the product itself is encased in a bronze matte rubber finish - similar to nars.
Ripe for love is a mid tone peach that will flatter the majority of complexions. It feels soft to touch, isn't dry or powdery and has great pigmentation. I'm still testing the wear of it as it only landed on my doorstep this morning but typically MAC satin blushes are longwearing.
If you're looking to buy something from this collection I definitely recommend ripe for love!
Its sold out on the MAC website but the collection has yet to launch at Debenhams and Selfridges

Spring Edit: Lips

Now the sun is starting to shine (kind of) I've been changing up my makeup. Rather than sticking to a certain shade or finish, I've been trying to mix it up a little. My favourite shades so far this spring consists of a nude, light and bright pink.

The Nude: Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Perfector - Nude Shimmer. The natural lip perfectors are fairly hyped up in the beauty world. They have a glossy finish that plump lips whilst leaving sheer colour. I don't wear many nudes but I find nude shimmer is flattering and feels hydrating without being sticky. It also smells like caramel. Yum.

The Bright: Rimmel Apocolips Lip Lacquer - Celestial. I do think these are over hyped. They're a nice lip product but when things get too hyped up it tends to put me off. However, celestial is a really wearable bright shade. I find the lip lacquers are comfortable to wear and don't dry my lips out.

The LightDior Addict Lipstick - Singuliere. A cross between a lipstick and balm. Dior addict lipsticks are the luxurious version of revlon lip butters. Singuliere is a shade that looks vibrant in the bullet but applies to leave a blue toned sheer barbie pink. This is one of my favourite lipsticks - it leaves glossy colour and feels weightless and hydrating.

What a re your favourite shades for spring?

Go your own way

dress: c/o Warehouse
belt: primark
Tights: primark
bangle: oasis
necklace: handmade
nails: models own orange sorbet c/o littlewoods

I've been feeling a bit meh in the past few days about blogging so I decided to give my blog a makeover. It took ages but I'm finally pleased with how it looks. I think I'm starting to get my blogging mojo back now. I thought I'd do a little outfit post today as I'm trying to blog about different things rather than just reviews - not that there's anything wrong with that but I like to change it up a bit!
I was kindly gifted this dress from warehouse. Its actually navy jacquard, which makes a nice change to black! Its currently reduced to £25 which is a bargain. The skater style makes it really flattering, especially if your pear shaped like me.
I've got a few blog posts planned, including some DIY posts!I attempted to make a youtube yesterday, which turned out a complete fail - I never realised how much how sound like Helen Flanagan/ aka Rosie Webster from Coronation Street haha. A bit awkward!!

Beauty Storage Ideas!

I'm always looking for new storage for my beauty products and other accessories. For my fragrances, I've decided to place them on a shabby chic style tray. I've had this for a while but I think it makes my perfumes look less cluttered. Its also ideal for storing pieces of jewellery on. You can get these type of trays in places like dunelm mill, ebay and ikea.
At the beginning of the year, I bought a glass cake stand from Matalan for £5 in the sale. I'd wanted a cake stand for a while after seeing a similar idea on wehearit. I think its a pretty idea for storing makeup on or jewellery.
To store my nail polishes, I bought a glass sweet jar from ebay here (they also sell them at wilkinsons here). Its a really affordable idea and looks really nice. I think I may add a ribbon to it just to make it a little more prettier.

I think my next purchase is either going to be a letter rack or wicker basket for my makeup palettes.

What storage do you use?

Super Easy DIY Phone Case!

Hi everyone! Today I have a super easy tutorial on making your own phone case. I've been struggling to find   a phone case I like so I thought why not make my own. Its straightforward to make - no glue required!

All you need is
*a clear phone case - I got mine from Ebay for £1.49 from this seller. You can find them for iphones here or here
*A magazine and scissors

Pick out a few of your favourite images - I chose a clinique advert.
Cut around you chosen image to fit the case
Slot the image inside the case - it should slot in pretty easy. You don't need to glue it in - it will fit perfectly once you put your phone in the case!

You can use any image you want - create a collage or use photographs!
Its also easy to change - super duper easy and cheap!

Let me know if you decide to give it a go!

Spring Wants: Pleather & Lace!

1. oasis lace skater dress
2.  ASOS petite swing dress with lace insert
3.  Leather knit sweater
4.  Monki vanja shoe

5.  River Island red lace skater skirt
6.  Zara shopper bag
7.  Matalan lace waistcoat
8.  Leather look skater skirt

Leather and lace is probably not really associated with spring and summer but there seems to be a lot of it about at the moment. I'm loving ASOS right now - I think I'm going to buy the blue dress at the end of the month. Hopefully it will still be in stock. I really like the waistcoat from Matalan too. There's some really nice things in Matalan at the moment. I only usually shop there for homeware but I'll have to start taking more notice of their clothing range!

New Anti-aging Skincare Heroes!

Recently I've become obsessed with using anti-aging products. I only have a few fine lines at the moment but   I want to make my skin look as firm and smooth as possible and I feel the best way to do that is with skincare.
Two products I've been using over the past few weeks are Bliss firm baby firm serum and Estee Lauder advanced tine zone cream.
Bliss firm baby firm is a product I use after cleansing/toner and before moisturiser. It feels more like a light moisturiser than your typical serum and aims to boost collagen and elasticity. I'm really loving using this product as it feels hydrating and makes my skin feel plumper and smoother.
The moisturiser I've been using with firm baby firm is Estee Lauder Advance Time Zone Age Reversing Cream. This cream is honestly one of the nicest moisturisers I've used. The consistency is perfect - not too thin and not too heavy. It smells beautifully fresh and hydrates my skin without leaving it feeling oily. These two products have really helped to smooth out my fine lines, make my skin look radiant and firmer. They are pretty pricey but as they are really working on my skin so I will repurchase. I'm not sure how they would work on someone with deeper lines and wrinkles but for an introduction into anti-aging skincare, they are perfect!

A New Home Hair Dye: Schwarzkopf Color Mask!

I've used a lot of home hair colourants over the years and I've mastered the art of dyeing my own hair. Other than the ombre in my hair, the top half was my natural colour and was looking a bit dull so I popped into town to pick up a hair dye.
I found the Schwarzkopf color mask in a shop called 'bodycare' for £3.99 (bargain!). One problem I noticed straight away is the limited colour range. I wanted something similar to my natural shade - a medium to dark brown. The shades are limited to light brown, golden brown or dark brown. In my experience, dark brown can often look almost black so I plumped for the light brown.

The kit itself is pretty straight forward to use - color cream, developer cream, hair conditioner mask and gloves. You mix the color cream into the tub of developer and shake. You then use this mixture on dry hair and leave for around 30 minutes.

The formula of the hair dye is fairly thick and smells like your traditional hair colorant - although not overly strong. I found it easiest to dip two fingers into the pot and then apply to the hair like a normal hair dye. I always apply color to the roots first before applying to the rest of the hair. With this dye, its best to take your time applying it rather than applying like a traditional hair mask.
The mixture is none drip but I did get quite a bit of dye on my face and neck - it comes off easily with a little warm water or baby lotion!

After leaving the color on for 30 minutes I rinsed my hair in warm water - it didn't take long for the water to run clear which is an improvement on other hair dyes I've used. I then put the conditioner on (theres enough in the sachet for around 3 applications) and left for 5 minutes before rinsing.

The result is a glossy chocolate brown with gold tones. Its very similar to my natural colour. You can still see my ombreyed hair peeking through but it looks more natural now and blends in well. I only just had enough hair dye to color my long hair so if you're considering buying this I would recommend two boxes for really long or thick hair. I will definitely use this hair dye again as I'm really pleased with the result - its easy to use, pretty much mess free and the colour is even and glossy. Easily one of the best home colour kits I've used!

Hot Summer Nail Shades!

I've barely seen any sunshine this year but I'm already looking forward to summer. When summer comes along, out come the brights! The three shades above are perfect for wearing in the warm weather!

Look Beauty Nail Pop in Island is a mid blue creme. The formula is slightly runny for my liking but only needs two coats to be fully opaque.

Maybelline Pow Green is neon yellow/green. Its a shade that shouldn't really work but somehow does. I love this colour and the formula is really good too. Again only two coats are needed to be fully opaque. For £2.99 its a steal!

OPI I Eat Mainely Lobster is a coral pink shimmer. Only two coats are needed but I find the formula
can look a bit patchy if you're not careful with the application. Its a gorgeous shade though and would look great with a tan!

What do think of these shades?

New Look Dresses

New Look have some gorgeous dresses which are really affordable! The polka dot dresses is only £16.99 and I think a sneaky purchase is in order.

Initial Necklaces

I've loved initial necklaces for ages, ever since I saw the Jennifer Meyer versions on various celebrities. This one is from etsy. I just think they are really lovely.

Free printables are such a good idea for various craft projects. I found some really cute printables from feed your soul which are ideal for using in frames around the home.

Recent Reads

Two books I've finished in the past few weeks have been Wool by Hugh Howey and Requiem by Lauren Oliver. Wool is a sci-fi thriller set in the future where humans live underground. I don't usually read sci-fi books but I really enjoyed this one. Requiem is the final book in the Delirium trilogy. I am a bit disappointed by it as it feels a bit flat after the first two books. Its still enjoyable but the open ending seemed a bit pointless.

Marc Jacobs Daisy Sunshine

Marc Jacobs Daisy is one of my all time favourite fragrances. This year, Marc Jacobs has launched new limited edition versions of his most popular scents - Oh lola sunsheer, Daisy Eau So Fresh Sunshine and Daisy Sunshine.
I've currently been trying out Daisy Sunshine. The bottle is exactly the same as the original bar the lid, which has an orange, pink and green flower. The scent is also slightly darker in the bottle.
Daisy sunshine is fruitier and slightly sweeter than the original daisy with notes of mandarin, guava and red current. Its a very soft fragrance which makes it ideal for wearing in spring/summer - It reminds me of taking a long walk on a hot summers day!
Although I don't think this version is quite as unique as the original, I think its more a playful and fun scent and is perfect for wearing in warm weather (hopefully we will see some!)

*Daisy Sunshine is available from Fragrance Direct £38.99 (50ml)*

Psst! you can get 10% off all orders with code 10VC until 7th April

Daily Face #1 // Loreal Caresse Coeur De Perle Lipstick

foundation: revlon nearly naked 'ivory' & colorstay 'ivory' mixed
powder: rimmel stay matte 'tranparent'
brows: smashbox brow tech powder 'brunette'
eyeshadow primer: urban decay primer potion
eyeshadow: urban decay naked basics palette 'venus' and 'naked2'
eyeliner: revlon colorstay 'brown'
blush: dior glowing colour powder blush 'pink in love'
highlighter: bareminerals face colour 'pure radiance'

Hi everyone! recently I purchased the loreal caresse coeur de perle lipstick (blimey what a mouthful) in the shade coral and floral. Its one of four new shades which I first heard about on milkteef.
I haven't seen much about these lippies, then again I don't think the original caresse line were hugely publicised in the UK. The new caresse lipsticks are packaged in metallic pink packaging and have a white centre which contains mother of pearl particles to add iridescent shimmer alongside a pop of colour.
Like the original caresse lipsticks, couer de perle are a cross between a balm and lipstick - the shade I have feels weightless and moisturising. It looks a little darker in the bullet than the photo above shows but it leans pinker on my lips than true coral. I liked the original caresse lipsticks but I love this shade so much! Its a really pretty shade for everyday and has good pigmentation. I got mine from superdrug - I wanted to buy 'nude and cute' too but the handful of lipsticks they had, had all been used (cue dramatic WHO DOES THIS?!!!) Seriously superdrug, sort your makeup stands out. I'm sure they're in boots too - currently 3 for 2. These are priced £7.99
