Being Kind To Yourself

Self-esteem is a subject that isn't overly talked about in the beauty world. I'm not someone who has a lot of self-confidence and I know a lot of people feel this way.

Most of time I'm far too harsh on myself and I'm sure I'm not alone in doing this. We live in a society that surrounds us with images of the 'perfect' body, home and life and in a sense it often feels like if we don't fit a certain standard then we are not 'normal'. We also set our own standards and compare ourselves to others - something that is so easy to do.
Self-loathing definitely holds you back. From a personal view, I'm tired and frustrated so I've decided to give my self confidence a kick up the ass. I can wake up in the morning and say that today I'm going to be happy!I can make the decision to start believing in myself  and I can give myself more credit for doing things. Sometimes we are our own worst enemies and I guess the point I'm trying to make is that maybe we should start being nicer to ourselves. We're taught to be kind to others but do we ever apply that notion to ourselves?
Life is incredibly short - be kind to yourself. Never let anyone make you feel like you're not good enough. Give yourself a little more credit and don't let fear stop you going after your dreams!no one is 'perfect' - embrace your uniqueness. Don't give up on your goals - remember progress is progress no matter how small that may be. Believe in yourself!

  2. I love this post! I totally agree with you - we should be kinder to ourselves; self-esteem and happiness are so so important and I really don't think it's promoted enough! x
