As a beauty blogger, I don't own that many MAC lipsticks. I have a few on my wish list and a few empties so that may all change. Recently I won Girl About Town in a blog giveaway - I don't enter many blog giveaways so it was a real surprise!
Girl About Town was also on my wishlist too so it was a huge fluke. I love this shade - its a a bright blue toned fuchsia in an amplified creme finish. Its not the most unique shade - possible dupes include Rimmel Kate Moss 20, Revlon Colorburst Fuchsia and Inglot 69.
Generally, I get around 3 to 4 hours wear out of MAC lipsticks and I do find them slightly on the drying side. The amplified creme finish have a creamy, pigmented texture. It's a slightly more moisturising finish than others and comfortable to wear.
Girl About Town is a beautiful lipstick. Would I recommend it? Well, if you're a MAC fan then yes but if you're just a fan of the shade, I'd probably opt for one of the cheaper versions. MAC lipsticks have recently increased in price to £15.50 each. I'm going to predict that next year they'll be £16. Yes they're cheaper than the likes of YSL and Dior but those are luxury brands and MAC is meant to be a mid-range brand. However you can get MAC lipsticks when you return 6 empties with the back to MAC recycle scheme.
