What I've Learnt From Content/Blog Writing

Writing this blog for the past 2 years and branching out into freelance writing, there's a few things I've realised. It's very easy to feel down about yourself and I often have those moments of feeling rubbish/frustrated about what I'm writing. To keep myself in check and my positivity flowing again, there are a few things I try to remember;

* If you don't believe in what you write, no-one else will
* Write with passion and enthusiasm
* Content is king
* Remember why you started
* Writing down ideas and thoughts is a good starting point
* Write in your notebook
* Write what you love
* Be consistent - it keeps ideas flowing
* Change is good
* Be yourself - what can you bring to the table
* It's ok to want to improve
* Practise makes perfect
* It takes time to find your voice and really put yourself out there

  1. As an incredibly new blogger who just started last month, I feel pretty lost and doubtful. This is good advice though! Thanks for the tips!

  4. I definitely think it's so important to be consistent but happy with what you're writing. There's no point writing about something which you don't enjoy or love. Great tips xx

  10. Being yourself and letting your personality shine through into your writing is key. Anna from VDM is a really great example, because when I read her posts I can basically hear her voice in my head because it just sounds so her.

  16. Thanks for the tips, I also started blogging about 2 years ago and I totally agree that you need to love writing, otherwise, after 2 years it becomes harder and harder to find topics...
