Rather than writing a post on my favourite products of 2014, I've decided to really narrow it down and share 5 amazing beauty products that I think would make a brilliant purchase in 2015. I found some incredible products in 2014, some new releases and some hidden gems but these are five that really stood out amongst the pack.
Sadly Wet n Wild isn't available to purchase in the UK but I found this palette on Amazon and was instantly impressed with the quality - you can see it swatched in this post
Whilst I received this as a sample, I would absolutely purchase it myself. I absolutely love this brow kit. I use it everyday and for just under £4 its a complete bargain! There are three shades of powder in here and a brow wax. I use the medium shade which is a good match for my brows. I like that the shades aren't too red toned and the darkest shade would be a great match for those with the darkest of brows. I use the sigma angled brow brush with it and it really does make styling your brows quick and easy.
A matte lipstick thats comfortable to wear, doesn't dry out lips and is highly pigmented. I finally found the matte lipstick of my dreams. Normally, I wear lip balm under matte lippies but with this one I don't need to. The shade I have is matte mandarin - you can see it swatched in this post. Its a great shade for most skin tones. Its not super cheap but its well worth the purchase.
This year I finally got around to trying the Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation. I use 010 light porcelain which is a really great colour match for really pale skin tones. This foundation is great for providing a light, even coverage with healthy glow. I don't find it controls oil as well as Revlon Colorstay but I do like the finish it gives - think an almost 'second skin' or 'my skin but better' feel.
Eco Tools tends to go under the radar slightly when it comes to makeup brushes but the ones I've tried out have all been excellent quality. This travel sized set of complexion brushes is brilliant for creating a seamless complexion. My favourite brush in here would have to be the full powder brush as its brilliant for applying setting powder. Despite being travel sized, this set doesn't compromise on quality - the brushes are soft, sturdy and affordable too. For under £12, this is a really nice set of brushes to own!
Rimmel Breakfast in Bed Nail Polish - gorgeous shade but terrible formula
The Body Shop Vitamin E Overnight Serum in Oil - feels horrible on the skin, doesn't sink in, didn't make any difference to my skin
TIGI Bed head After Party Smoothing Cream - delicious strawberry and cream scent but too much shimmer and did nothing to tame my hair.
